When you are starting on your essay, the first thing you need to do is give yourself enough time to really get the work done. The average ten to twenty page term paper, for example, will require about one month to complete the necessary research. At the bare minimum, you need to give yourself one week. So if you are swamped and cannot start on the paper right away, at least give yourself one week in which to do it. Remember that organization can ensure you make the most of your time. Write out a schedule if you do not already have one and use the schedule to keep track of your time and how many days you have left until your due dates.
